Clayton Bischoff, Outfitter & Guide

I have been a licensed guide in northeast Wyoming over the past fourteen years for Western Gateway Outfitters (Clayton Bischoff – Guide License #P-0348) and now am a licensed outfitter (Wyoming Outfitter BG-051) in Wyoming. Over these fourteen years I have guided whitetail deer, mule deer, elk, buffalo, antelope, and turkey hunts. I guide an average of 130 days every year between spring and fall seasons.

Since I was a young man, I have had a passion for the outdoors and hunting, with one of my goals in life being to become a licensed outfitter. While there are several reasons why I am passionate about outfitting, one of the biggest parts of why I love this industry is the people. Interacting with clients, year after year, and building a relationship with them is not only key to my success as a guide, but also something I truly enjoy.

In my fourteen years I have received two awards from the Wyoming Outfitters Association. My first in 2013 for the second-place typical archery deer that scored 137 5/8. The second was for the first-place typical archery deer in 2017 that scored 158 4/8. Like many of the successful archery hunts I have guided, I found both buck glassing while the hunters were sitting in other stands. I then went in during the middle of the day and made setups for the hunters that resulted in them harvesting these large bucks. Both deer were harvested the first time the clients hunted these stands.
